Das neue Studio EA Gothenburg sucht derzeit in einer aktuellen Ausschreibung nach neuen Mitarbeitern, die an einem neuen Need for Speed Teil mitwirken sollen. Das Spiel wird laut dem Entwickler auf der leistungsstarken Frostbite 2.0 Engine entwickelt werden. Ob das Spiel für die aktuellen oder der kommenden Konsolen entwickelt wird, ist nicht bekannt.
